The reason for using a natural product can be for more than one reason. The most common reason for their use is they rarely produce any side-effects, something that most synthetically produced drugs do produce.

There are many other reasons, but one that should not be overlooked is the effect of ‘organic on organic’ . By this I mean that an ‘organic material’ (the herbal medicine) can be easily absorbed the ‘organic material’ (the human being).

The human being easily and readily absorbs organic material. Your food is organic material (or should be), and consists of various plants, grains and sometimes animal products which can be easily assimilated by the body. This makes the person feel good.

Therefore when it comes to a medicine the same principle should be applied where ever it is possible.

This is not to make any other medical system redundant, as all medical systems have their strengths and weakness.
