The needles are very fine and nothing like the size of a hypodermic needle (one used for taking blood from a vein in your arm). Infact an acupuncture needle could easily be inserted through a hypodermic needle; this is just how fine they are. In appearance they are solid and extremely flexible due to their fine nature, they are about the width of a hair. They are made of stainless steel and are all single use disposable needles, and thrown away after their use in a treatment.
