Jonathan Southcott

Jonathan started his training in 1989 at the London College of Shiatsu, the three year training course was completed in 1993 when he was awarded a diploma in Shiatsu. Jonathan has been in practice with Shiatsu since 1993.

Jonathan has been a Member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS) from the time he became a Shiatsu student.

In 1995 he began his studies in Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. His full time course was completed in 1998, and was awarded a Licentiate in Acupuncture (LicAc) on completion of his studies. Jonathan then integrated his Shiatsu practice with the new skill of Acupuncture. Jonathan has been using Acupuncture in a clinical environment since he qualified.

Jonathan has been a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) since 1998.

In 1997 Jonathan started to study in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, combining his final year of Acupuncture study with the initial year of studying Chinese Herbal Medicine. Jonathan qualified after three years of studying the herbs with a diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine (Dip CHM) in 2000.

Jonathan has been registered with the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) since 2000.

In 2005 Jonathan undertook an intensive postgraduate training in treating dermatological conditions with Chinese Herbal Medicine. The training course was run by a world renown Chinese Herbalist whom has specialised in dermatology. The training and examinations were completed and led to a Diploma in Chinese Medicine Dermatology.

Ongoing postgraduate training courses are attended to ensure continual professional development is maintained.
